The Book of Exodus tells of the liberation of the Israelites from slavery and their
journey to Sinai.  This event is the key event for understanding the Hebrew
Scripture and the major event that shapes the relationship between God,
Israel and ultimately us.  What was the experience of slavery? How does
liberation take place-acts of civil disobedience and covenant commitments.
